Passaic County Fair is this weekend

Food, amusements, fireworks headline the county's biggest fair yet

The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in partnership with Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc., is hosting the annual County Fair beginning now through Sunday, Aug. 20, at the Garret Mountain Reservation. The County Fair will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, and 3 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

“Every year the Passaic County Fair is growing with bigger and better entertainment offerings for our residents,” stated Passaic County Freeholder Director Sandi Lazzara “I want to thank Schumacher Chevrolet, Lakeland Bank, Braen Stone, and all of the fair sponsors for helping Passaic County in hosting this great event at no cost to the taxpayers and investing in the improvement of the Passaic County Park System.”

The festivities include fireworks on Friday and Saturday, amusement rides, an array of local food vendors, 4-H tent, beer garden, chess tournament, pony rides, a petting zoo, and many other activities for families and children.

“The Passaic County Fair is a staple event for our residents and a great showcase for the Garret Mountain Reservation,” said Passaic County Freeholder TJ Best. “This year we are offering great entertainment, food vendors from across New Jersey, and a full slate of events for children and families. We are expecting close to 20,000 visitors to the fair this year as we continue to offer affordable, family-friendly fun for Passaic County residents. See you at the Fair!”

Patrons are charged $5 per car to enter the Garret Mountain Reservation during the fair. Regular updates can be found at the Passaic County Fair Facebook page.
