One of the most difficult issues facing those with diabetes is choosing healthy foods. Which are healthy in keeping blood sugar stable? And how many carbohydrates are too much? There are so many choices.

Nick Vessichelli, the registered dietitian at ShopRite of West Milford, will do a store tour on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m.

He will point out healthy diabetes choices for food. He will also teach how to read and understand food labels.

RSVP to Vessichelli either by emailing him at or by stopping in at ShopRite Pharmacy and sign up.

Diabetes Support Group

A new support group for those with diabetes has begun at the West Milford Presbyterian on the first Tuesday of each month. In September, that is Tuesday, Sept. 5, starting at 7 p.m. All are invited. The meeting is free.
