CASA beach party has a message for kids

  • The beach party included some old-fashioned fun, like Hula hoops!

  • It was boys against girls in the annual tug-of-war battle.

  • Some of the kids took advantage of the soft sand, doing back flips across the beach!

  • Kids gathered at the concession stand for some refreshments after swimming and a fierce tug-of-war battle.

  • While the kids had a fun night at the beach party, the message was clear from CASA on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

  • Fun on the beach was had by all!

The Community Against Substance Abuse (CASA) hosted its annual beach party for incoming 7th and 8th graders at Bubbling Springs Tuesday evening. A good crowd of enthusiastic kids met at Bubbling Springs, chatting with local officers and having fun on the beach. They participated in a spirited tug of war competition, many swam and several showed their tumbling prowess with gymnastics on the beach. It was a lot of fun for all but the message was a very serious one - educating kids on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
