Leonard J. Resch of West Milford passed away at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 22. He was 72.

He was born on March 14,1945 in Clifton to Jeanne (nee Moissinac) and Henry F. Resch.

Leonard proudly served in the US Army from 1963 to 1965 during the Vietnam War.

He married Linda H. (Bush) in 1978 and resided in Elmwood Park, moving in 1979 to West Milford.

Leonard was a truck driver/mechanic for over 40 years with Tanis Concrete in Fair Lawn.

He will best be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing.

Leonard was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Resch, in 1986.

He is survived by his beloved wife Linda of West Milford; his loving children, Tracy Pastuch of Millville, Christopher Resch and his wife Robin of Millville, and Robert Resch of West Milford; his cherished grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kayla, Madison, Deanna, Mackenzie, Holley, Victor, and Michael; his great- grandson Brayden; his nieces: Kristen Anea, Denise Porcellini, and Alexis Bush; his nephews, Mark Resch and Dennis Maciupa; his brother Richard Resch and his wife Karen of Long Valley, and his sister ,Lois Brennan of Mt. Olive.

A barbeque, for family and friends, celebrating Len’s life will take place at the family home in West Milford at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16.
