– The West Milford Regular Republican Municipal County Committee has selected Councilman Tim Wagner and Paul Zarrillo as the official Republican candidates in the June 5 primary election.

The WMRRMCC nominated Wagner and Zarrillo as its candidates at its Feb. 6 meeting by an overwhelming majority.

Wagner, the current council president and operating manager of Greenwood Lake Airport, was selected to pursue his second consecutive term.

The top vote recipient in both the 2015 primary and general elections has lived in West Milford for more than 20 years and is Chairman of HEAT (Highlands Economic Development & Tourism Corp.).

Wagner — husband of Daina and father of Tyler (18) and Ashley (16) — was deeply appreciative of the committee's support.

"It is an honor to have the support of the Republican County Committee as I seek re-election to my Council seat this year," Wagner said after the vote. "I am running to continue my work as a budget hawk on the Council and to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness in West Milford's government."

Zarrillo currently serves as the New Jersey Co-Chair of the Greenwood Lake Commission and Vice Chairman of HEAT.

Zarrillo, Vice President of The O Group, a New York City marketing company, is married to Orit and father of grown children Nicole and Zackary.

"Being selected as the Republican Party's nominee for Council is both humbling and inspiring," Zarrillo said in a statement. "I am excited to seek my first public office with my running mate, Tim Wagner, and share my knowledge, experience, and expertise in the business world with my fellow West Milford residents to earn their support and votes in the upcoming election."
