On the evening of Friday, May 18, the sky was overcast with the threat of possible rain in the forecast.

However, that did not stop the stars from coming out to the Village of Greenwood Lake for the 13th Hoboken International Film Festival. It was the second year in a row the film festival was held in the Village.

The event began at 6:30 p.m. with producers, directors, and movie stars walking the red carpet, into the event that was followed with food and cocktails.

One the many stars that came to Greenwood Lake was Martin Kove. Kove is best known for his role as hard-nosed karate sensei in the movie "The Karate Kid," and for his role in "Rambo: First Blood Part II."

"This is an incredible place to have the Film Festival, Greenwood Lake is beautiful, this is the perfect setting,” Kove said.

After celebrities walked the Red Carpet, the ceremony began inside the massive tent, with the Chairman of the HIFF, Kenneth Del Vecchio hosting the event.

Academy Award, Emmy and Golden Globe winner, Louis Gossett Jr. was present. The 81-year-old known for his roles in "Roots," "Iron Eagle," "Officer and a Gentleman" (for which he was the first African-American to win Best Supporting Actor Academy Award in 1982) and "Enemy Mine," to name a few, was presented the HIFF Lifetime Achievement Award for Acting.

"A few boxers used to come to Greenwood Lake to train, I understand why because it’s a beautiful relaxing area," he said. "I’m very happy to be here.”

Julie McCullough, who was in the TV series "Growing Pains," arrived on the red carpet with probably the most interesting outfits of the evening.
