MONROE — Museum Village will host the 43rd annual Civil War Reenactment on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2.

On Saturday, the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, the hours will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Among the featured reenactors will be William H. Seward, President Lincoln’s Secretary of State, and his wife, the abolitionist Frances Miller.

Mr. Seward will discuss his life from growing up in the neary Village of Florida and his relationship with Lincoln. You will also hear about the attempt on his life on that faithful day in April 1865 and the challenges he faced during the Civil War.

Mrs. Seward will discuss her life during the 1800’s until her death.
